Christ's Bodies. Privacy policy

To make this document easier to read, we’re going to use some shorthand throughout. For example, when we say  “the Platform” we’re talking about the web-based application tool described and accessible at The Platform is part of a suite of software products and services owned and operated by EssenceGod LTD, which we’ll refer to as “Christ's Bodies,” “us,” or “we” throughout this policy. The Platform is intended for use by non-profit institutions and use of the Platform requires registration by an account administrator. We call those non-profit institutions as well as their administrators and registered users “Members.” Unregistered internet users that are merely browsing Platform sites are called “Visitors”. When we refer to both in this policy, we’ll use the term “you.” In using the Platform, Members are able to create websites that have their own respective users through which Members may collect information from third parties that use the Members’ websites. We call these Member websites “Your Websites” and the third parties that use those websites “Your Users”.

Accepting the Terms

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully because it discusses how we will collect, use, share and process your personal information, and by accessing the Platform you agree to this Privacy Policy and its terms and consent to having your data transferred to and processed in the UK. Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Terms of Use. Please read those terms carefully as well. We welcome any questions or comments you may have about this Privacy Policy and our privacy practices. If you have any questions or comments, you may contact us at:

How We Use Your Information

We do not share your personal data with any third-party advertisers or ad networks for their advertising purposes. We use data that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information, as follows:

A. Registration and account information: When you use our Services, you freely and voluntarily provide us with personal information (such as name, email address, date of birth, age, telephone number, religion and geolocation) and thus you are not an anonymous user for us. This also means that your name and photo (if you choose to provide them) will be visible to other Christ's Bodies users.

B. Social Media Information: If you access your Christ's Bodies

account through social media sites such as Facebook, Google, you agree to provide us with long-term access to your personal data on such

sites (such as your public profile, friends list, accounts that you

residence, information about work, education, interests, video viewing

history). We may receive certain information about you from social

networking sites if users of those sites provide us with access to

their profiles, and you are their friend or contact, depending on your

settings on these sites.

C. Using information from Other Sources: The information we collect

may be combined with information from external sources (such as

demographic information and additional contact information) that we have received in accordance with the law.

D. Device’s location information: We may collect additional information when you access the website through a specific device (for example, the unique identifier of your mobile device; IP address of the connection session; information about the operating system of your mobile device, your browser, language browser or operating system; your wireless network; and your mobile operator). We may also collect WPS data about your location - you can turn off the provision of this data by changing your location settings.

Service-Related Messages

We may use your information to contact you about account, security, legal and other service-related issues. We will do this through in-app notifications, email, or other channels. Please be aware that you cannot opt-out of receiving service messages (an example is a password reset email) from us, including security and legal notices.

Security and Technical Issues

We use the data (which can include your communications) to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints, legal, security and technical issues concerning the Platform. We use your data and communications if we think it is necessary for security purposes or to investigate possible fraud or violations of law or our Terms of Use or this Privacy Policy and/or attempts to harm others.

Posts and Contributions

When the Platform allows you to provide information to be published, distributed, or displayed on Your Website or for you to allow Your Users to publish, distribute or display information on Your Websites, we refer to that as “posted,” which can be on public areas of the Platform, Your Websites or transmitted to other users of the Platform or third parties, all of which we’ll call “User Contributions.” For example, these include activities such as posting church-specific information, contributing messages to chat, and posting video/audio/graphical assets.

Please keep in mind that if you or Your Users disclose personal information in a public manner whether through chat postings, social media, message boards, or other public online forums, this information may be collected and used by others. User Contributions are posted and transmitted at the contributor’s sole risk. We cannot control the actions of other users or third parties with whom you or Your Users choose to share User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons, nor do we accept any liability associated with User Contributions.

If you refuse to accept cookies and similar technologies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser or smartphone, you may be unable to access certain parts of the Platform, prohibiting us from delivering the full capability of the Platform and preventing the use of certain features and services that require these technologies.

By agreeing to our Privacy Policy, you agree to the use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this policy. If you use the Platform without changing your browser or device settings to disable cookies, we'll assume that you consent to receive all cookies provided through the Platform.

Christ's Bodies is consistently seeking new and improved ways to offer the Platform and improve online ministry. As we improve the Platform, this may mean the collection of new data or new ways to use data. Because the Platform is dynamic, and we continuously seek to offer new features, we may require the collection of new information. If we collect materially different personal data or materially change how we use your data, we will notify you and may also modify this Privacy Policy.
